Wisdome Teeth Extraction Healing Help..?

396545381 I have had my wisdoms teeth extracted one December 9th.. Just about 15 mins ago I brushed and flossed my teeth.. And saw that it appears to be food stuck in my bottom wisdom teeth holes, (btw it seems the holes were healing well..) and then I used the syringe the surgeon gave me to flush out the holes with peroxide and half water.. I piece of it looked like to be beefy kinda meat came out one both sides.. And now the home looks like its open.. I don't have any pain but I'm really concerned.. I don't think I can see the Boone or anything I can still see the clot on the right side and I think on the left side.. I'm really concerned that in dislodged something in there. I play sax and haven't played my horns in weeks.. Now I'm afraid to suck or blow on anything.. Someone pleae help D:

  1. xlarsx - When I got mine removed they told me to gargle with salt water 3 times a day. This flushes everything out and really simple. I just put some salt in my cup of water, and spit it out once I was done gargling. I don't know why the doctor gave you syringes, but that sounds bad. Don't blow or suck on anything until they're completely healed or you can ruin all the progress you made on healing them. I hope your teeth get better :)

  2. Mike - You will play sax again. Body comes first. It is probably a very standard procedure and you should be fine. It is good to be concern, but control your paranoia. Food will go in the hole and you are told to clean it out. The hole will take time to fill, but you keep it clean and it will close first.

Your sax will come back to you. You will have to find your focus and it will all comeback to you. Take time to heal. The body is needed for everything else in life. Priority #1!

  3. Eypsa Koehler - You don't have to worry. Your clot can't get dislodged after so long. After 2-3 days, blood clot is replaced with granulation tissue and withing other few days, it is replaced with bone and soft tissue. You can continue with warm saline rinses and keep extraction socket area clean to avoid any secondary infections.
