Can I Drive If I Have Diabetes?

396545384 When you have diabetes you can Have dla this allows you to drive early, I have always dreamed to drive and thought this too good to be true. I saw online that you might not be able to drive if you have diabetes and now I might never be able to drive.
Does anyone know if it's true,

Kaja - Yes you can drive with diabetes but you must ALWAYS check your blood before you drive if it's low or heading that way deal with it first and if your on a long journey say more than a hour you have to check it when you break. My mother didn't check her blood and she crashed when low, thankfully no one was hurt but they took her licence off her for two years and she had to prove she could control her blood levels.

  3. kitten lady - yes u can but make sure u carry some thing with u in case u go low and do take some thing befor set off just because u have diabetes life dos not stop just take some thing befor im diabtic two my sister 17 has 1 my family drive and near every one in both side have it.and alway check blood sugars befor and if drive in for a long time check sugars to

  4. Tigger - I know a lot of people who have diabetes and they all drive. As long as the diabetes is under control there should be not problem...
