I Want To Start Loosing Weight , But Even A Jog Around The Block Kills Me?
ok so im 18 , i weigh 14.5 and i feel like if i dont start now , i will get big in the future . ok so basically could you give me a routine off food and exorcises i can do daily , thanks!
S.K. - Oliver, if you've been sedentary, of course a jog is going to be really hard if not impossible. Start more gradually. Speed walk around the block for a week. Then try running--slowly--for thirty seconds and walking until you can run some more. Eventually you'll run it all, and then you can gradually increase the distance.
Your body thrives on longer periods of light exercise for weight loss purposes, mainly because you can keep it up. So a fast walk of a half hour six days a week may be just fine, and perhaps a couple or three times you run-walk instead.
But you're right, it's not just about exercise, it's about eating wisely. Stop eating fried foods and drinking soft drinks. Watch portion sizes, especially on meat and carbohydrates like potatoes, rice, pasta, cereal, etc. Use a reduced-fat or fat-free version of your usual products. Go easy on butter, mayonnaise, gravy, and sauces. Eat whole grain when it's an option. Go heavy on fruits and vegetables, light on carbs. If you drink, pay attention to calories consumed that way.
There's nothing you cannot eat, but you need to lower your total calories by an average of 500 a day to lose one pound a week on the average.
Red-Rose - I think each person is different when it comes to which food makes you lose weight, however I suggest you look at your diet now and if it includes allot of starch you can cut that for a bit and also switch to lean meat (smaller portions than currently) and try not to eat later than seven at night. Make sure to eat breakfast to boost your metabolism and don't forget at least 6 glasses of water a day.
Exercises : Walk preferably in the morning early or if not in the evening. Choose a Tree / Any mark. Does not have to be far. Time yourself walking there from a certain point, a fairly fast walk, then time yourself back and see if you can beat your time. This is fun and challenging especially if you workout by yourself. Make sure to build up a sweat - so challenge yourself - Have fun and Enjoy..
