calories, Kcal and KJ calories? I see it on the nutritional information on the back of packets. For example a small bag of chocolate buttons says 525 kcal and 2205 kj. Thanks
Binaca Gaglani - Calories are measurement of energy units contained in the food and drink we consume. It can be used for any work by burning this produce energy. If the body has surplus calories than requirement of it, it can be stored as fat.
1000 calories = 1 kilocalorie = 1 kcal
KJ means kilojoules and it is measurement of food energy. For your information 1 kilocalorie = 4.2 kilojoules.
