  1. Frank - Exercise does not stop the bad effects of smoking.

Talk to your doctor. Your doctor has tools to help you quit.

  2. Greg B - Smoking is detrimental to your health. The thing is smoking accelarates the aging proccess, as well as free radical production. Exercise slows the aging proccess, and free radical production So by being active you actualy negate some of the harmfull effects from smoking, but then again you will never be in fantastic condition, as smoking takes a toll on you. For example smoking clogs the lungs, but exercise forces the lungs to become stronger. If you smoked, and were not active you would be alot worse off, but if you quit smoking all toghether, and kept exercising you would be in amazing condition!! Overall you are better off not smoking at all, but since you exercise you do limit some of the bad effects from smoking. If you quit smoking, and kept exercising you would get all great bennifits, and have no harmfull effects to deal with.

  3. Don't Google Me - Exercise doesn't undo what smoking does to you. Smoking won't affect you "right now" but over time it will. All it'll do right now is make your fingers and teath yellow, make your hair and clothes stink until you wash them.

Get help trying to quit, or at least try to cut down significantly.

I do understand the whole wanting to smoke thing, the difference is I only do it socially and I'm not addicted (yet). I only smoke to get to know some girl that I have a crush on better.

However, I go to the gym regularly too. So while I'm trying to look better on the outside, I am aware that I'm doing harm to my insides. I guess I'll regret it eventually, but oh well. I'm doing like maybe 6 cigarettes per week, and I don't think I'vet even done that many recently. Sometime's I do halves because I share it with someone, but it's really not having much affect on me yet.

  4. Glen Coco - Smoking will definitely not help your lung capacity. That's the only thing I can think of right now.

So if you continue smoking a LOT I imagine exercise would grow harder due to being out of breath. Visit your doctor maybe they can help you quit so you're not alone.

  5. Sohail - You mean rawr?? Lol anyways.... Ok that's good to hear that you are trying to stop you can be fit while smoking but it's going to be much harder ex emphysema for the lungs and you would run out of breath and you will get tired more easily.... Even if you were fit and smoking the you can still see the physical effects. Trust me lung cancer sucks ... Try p90x or insanity .. But I recommend insanity more I hope you quit smoking and get better:)
