  3. this guy - i just got mine out last monday lol all four as well. no matter how the pain of the extraction sites is affecting you, are guaranteed some jaw muscle soreness because they really crank on your mouth to open it up to get in there. this makes your jaw tired for a couple days. the pain is bearable, i didn't take my pain meds but i have a very high pain tolerance. you should ask for at least the work week off because whether you are in pain or not your mouth needs to heal properly.

  4. Jules - Depending on how you have it done(by anesthesia or numbing shots), it could be a couple days. Mine were cut out while I was asleep; the first day afterwards, it's impossible to talk because I still had to keep gauze in my mouth. I was very tired and achy for two days, and it was very uncomfortable to talk for about three days..basically until the stitches came out. After that it gradually got better. My brother had his simpy pulled out, and it didn't take quite that long to feel better, but talking was still difficult for about the same-- three days.

I would suggest, if it's possible, to take one or two days off after the surgery, and see how you feel to see if you need another day. It shouldn't be longer than that.

    Hope I helped! (:

  5. Ipsa Koehler - If teeth are impacted, then surgical tooth extraction is done. After numbing the tooth, cut is given on gums and tooth is removed after tooth sectioning or bone cutting. You will feel no pain during procedure but will just feel some pressure. After extraction, there will be pain and swelling present. Pain and swelling will completely regress in a week time after extraction. 6. arnie g - Just a heads up,you may not want them to give you a drug called Versed

In fact, many people who use Versed for "conscious sedation" during a procedure are awake for the entire procedure but remember nothing, often believing they were "out" the whole time.

Versed (Midazolam) is an amnestic. It is commonly administered in combination with anesthesia before and during surgery. It is also commonly used for minor procedures like colonoscopies dental procedures like extractions, conscience sedation, twilight sleep, so that patients won't remember pain and discomfort.HOWEVER THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT THOSE SENSATIONS WILL NOT BE EXPERIENCED!!!!Forgetting does no mean it did not happen!!

  7. Nerdy Swag <3 - About a week is a good amount of time. Some people can bounce back quicker but it is very important that you get a lot of rest, eat soft healthy foods, drink plenty of liquids, and follow your oral surgeon's post operation instructions to speed up the recovery.
