Whats Your Experience With Retin-a Acne Cream?

396545389 My doctor prescribe me with Retin A back in Septmember its been 5 months already. Retin A has cleared up my acne but it also made me break out. I have horrible scars but I'm going to continue. Whats your experience with Retin-A? How long did it take to clear up your acne?

    ~Ari~ - I was prescribed Retin-A cream by my dermatologist. She directed me to apply all over my face
    but in little amounts. I followed her instructions, however, the first 2 days were ok...after that..OW!
    my face had become SO raw, and sensitive that the air was feeling like NEEDLES against my skin!
    and it made me peel. I did notice my scars were disapearing really good though, so i decided to use RetinA on my face twice a week, but not in a row. (example: Monday and thursday)
    --So my advice is dont use RetinA constantly, it will damage your skin because its really strong.
    Depending on your skin type, if its oily or combination = twice a week, dry or sensitive = once a week.
    But dont depend all on the cream. Exfoiliate your face with a soft facial sponge, soaked in warm water and antibacterial soap. ALWAYS moisturize with a HIGH SPF moisturizer!
    and i love to treat my face to a mask sheet :) ! they nourish your skin and heal it!
    also drinks lots of water! :D
