My Mom Has Cancer ! Please Help!!!?

396545116 So my mom has cancer!:( It hurts so much! But there not telling me much but I have to know her stage is 3b. How bad is that?? I ask and all they say well cancer is never good. They can't be keeping things like this from me. I need to prepare for the worst. it's hard enough I only found out about a week ago and I go see her. I need to try to stay strong for her cause I surely didn't stay strong today. Pleeasee how bad is 3b and is it deadly ? :(

    Denisedds - It would help to know what kind of cancer it is and how old she is ant a minimum.

    babe - My mother had it too.She refused to have test taken and ended up with an operation and the doctor giving her 9 months to live.she was 80 years old ,she would have been 90 next month,she died on the 12th of december..look up the type of cancer she has and check the stages.sorry about your mom.depending on your age you may ask her Dr and they may tell you .

    ChemoAngel - Don't worry. My Father was a stage 3 B and he is a 15 year survivor, so please don't worry. She'll be fine.

    Dave - As you now know cancer is graded by where it occurs in the body and then by it's stage. Usually the lower numbers the better it is. Then for example with breast cancer there is a division within the stage, like my wife was stage 2B Triple Negative Breast Cancer.

    If I recall correctly this gave her about an 83% five year survival rate, we are now about 3.5 years from the diagnosis.

    Cancer is treatable, but treatment is terrible.
