I'm 15 and I think the lower gumline of my two bottom front teeth is receding. I use a soft toothbrush and don't brush hard. But um really scared in case it carries on receding and my teeth fall out. Its really upsetting me:/
Richard Lee DDS - If your parents haven't taken you to the dentist in the past six month, I would suggest you go in so they can diagnose the situation for you. It is highly unlikely for you to have this problem given you age but gum disease can occur early in life. The key is to get an accurate diagnosis before you jump to conclusions.
Ipsa Koehler - Gum recession can occur because of plaque deposits in relation to teeth, forceful tooth brushing or can occur because of traumatic bite present. Gum recession can cause teeth sensitivity and looks unaesthetic. If it is minor recession, then you can get it filled and if it is severe, then gum surgery is required.
