something just happened to me a few minutes ago... it was very weird. It was like air shot up my stomach, it lasted for 5 seconds and then I had a panic attack because I thought it was a heart attack. Is there anything else that could cause this feeling? I'm pretty sure it wasn't a heart attack i'm only 16.
Guys I have very bad acid reflux you are probably right.
Ada Ava - BECAREFUL!!!!
ReplyDeletePaul - Acid Reflux
ReplyDeleterobert S - You probably suffered gastric reflux it is very common given your age 16 I doubt if you had a heart attack
ReplyDeletehazelways - Because you suffer from panic attacks, you will also suffer from psychosomatic pains and aches.I think knowing what could cause these symptoms in your stomach wouldn't be useful. What would be useful would be to learn to relax and to understand that panic attacks are not dangerous though they cause all sorts of symptoms. In other words, what you felt in your stomach was caused by the fact that you suffer from panic attack/anxiety, it's not the other way round though it seems to be so. Getting to the roots of your anxiety would be a good way to move forward and reduce your anxiety level. Accept that you are sensitive which is a gift, yet all gifts have a drawback.
ReplyDeleteJohn W - How would you know it felt like a heart attack? Have you ever had one?
ReplyDeleteThe Vagal nerve controls the entire digestive tract and can easily give symptoms often mistaken for heart problems. The Vasovagal response is triggered by fear, anxiety, and stress. This is an accumulation of stress not necessarily stress that you are aware of. The best way to reduce this unseen stress is exercise which mimics fight or flight as stress is part of the fight or flight response.
