Yes, it can work. But!
There is nothing special about this cleanser. Plus, it is overpriced. You the get affordable and as effective products at your local drugstore.
The main ingredient in the product is 8.5% benzoyl peroxide. You can get 10% at the drugstore from Clean & Clear and Clearasil.
The websites states:
"Glad you asked. There are 12-week effectiveness studies of teenagers conducted by the X Out™ team that support X Out™. We’re happy to report that the teens loved it and asked to continue using the product after the studies were over. "
Read carefully at "studies of teenagers conducted by the X Out™ team that support X Out™". This means means the studies are less reliable. The people who conducted the studies can manipulate the results in whichever way they want and no one will know. The best studies are the one that is done by an independent lab.
So, if you insist on buying and using it. Make sure you do not rinse it off too soon because benzoyl peroxide needs to be left on the skin for a while in order for it to work.
The problem I have with this cleanser also is that it is a cleanser, there are detergents that can irritate your skin if you leave it on for too long.
Bottom line: it "can" work, but it is not worth the money.
