  2. Alicia Remirez - this happens to me alot of the time. its called acid reflux. when you take in too much rich or greasy foods your body releases stomach acids to try to prepare for the food you just ate. so its ejects too much acid & this causes your heart to get overwhelmed

  3. darkganon - there is a possibility that this is osteochondritis caused by a gastritis. The fatty food makes the stomach segregate too much the acids go onto the esophagous and swell the area. the ribs are affected by this swelling resulting in pain near the sternum or near the heart. It also could be becuase of stress. Please consider that I may be wrong since i don't have all the information and it is best to consult your physician. Get better.

  4. connie - Speaking from experience, its probably a diseased gallbladder or gallstones. The pain feels like your having a heart attack. Like a knife going thru your heart and into your back, kind of? Also could be a hiatal hernia, but more likely gallbladder related. You doctor will need to get you an ultrasound to confirm this. THE PAIN WILL ONLY GET WORSE AND MORE FREQUENT. Avoiding these foods will not fix it. Be aware that having a bad gallbladder can kill you. If it ruptures you will be in serious medical emergency that may likely kill you.

  5. A Yahoo User - You have pure and simple indigestion which causes this pain. The pain is most likely abdominal gas pressure in your tummy which radiates to your chest. Yes, it can be very painful. Take something like Pepcid before you eat rich foods. It will help. If you eat these foods and experience the pain of indigestion afterwards, take an antacid like Tums or Rolaids. Best of all, try not to eat the things that distress you. Good luck!
