Should A Female Take Protein Powder?

396545382 while i work out hard everyday.45-60 min of "insanity" workout(look up the program) I have also been doing p90x.so im in hybrid mode right now.I have only been using 1 scoop in 1 cup of 2% milk.i eat 2 meals a day so the powder i use as a meal filler.my real question is will this make me fatter or help me loose wait?

  1. Anna - Protein in general helps you build more muscle and burn more fat... But it's all a numbers game. Find your BMR and make a deficit through diet and exercise. There are online calculators for this. One pound of fat lost = a 3500 calories deficit and can be achieved in one week by cutting calories by 500 below your maintenance level a day. Your body needs protein, so it's not bad... Just make sure it adds up. :)
