Pressure On My Teeth?

396545381 Every once in a while I wake up and feel like there are one hundred pound weights inside my gums trying to push my teeth out. What is causing that?

  1. Dr Akhil - wisdom teeth erupting or tartar deposits causing gum inflammation.
try doing warm salt water rinses before going to sleep at night, this will help ease the pressure in the teeth.

  3. David H - Great, I had this about two years ago, pressure on my teeth, and that lead to a popping sound in my jaw, and I had my wisdom teeth removed about 7 days after that. Then for two years I have suffered with TMJ one of the worst physical illness you can get, mine is quite severe, and 50% of severe commits suicide, It makes you feel like you are dying, Huge blood rushes to your face, Extreme pain on your jaw joints, so strong that you can't think or do anything, then you just sit on the floor, and people think you are lazy, terrible person.

But lucky, a year later I got into splint therapy, setting me back $3,500, and after a year It is better, but I still hear loud popping, cracking sounds on my left side.

Basically the wisdom teeth impacted, with the teeth pressing 200 pounds on to my teeth and my jaw, shifted the disk out of position, and screwed up my jaw joint.

This pressure is caused by a 90 degree wisdom teeth, I recommend you get rid of this As soon as possible, or you may get what I have and have a 50% chance of committing suicide.
And spending $3500 to cure it partly, and have a damaged joint for the rest of your life.

The thing is there is no sources or nothing on the internet about this, so a lot out there doesn't fully understand what TMJ means, perhaps another 15 years in advancement in medical science and he should have a better understanding, at least I hope.
