He felt nauseated at first then lost his hearing.
He had quite a bit of numbing - in his tongue and legs from the knees or so down and in his hands.
Both hands stiffened/ with fingers and thumbs pointing to each other
Trouble speaking because his tongue felt weird.. partially numb couldn't lift it to the top of his mouth
His numbness was on both sides.
He had an episode similar to this 3 years ago, when i called 911.
these were his symptoms then:
eyes rolling up/back
mouth hanging open/tongue partially out
blacked out
in and out of consciousness
stomach ache
nausea
diarrhea
head and body falling over
eyes staring/completely still - looked dead
felt stiff and cool to the touch
Both episodes lasted maybe 5 minutes, with after effects, like exhaustion, weakness, extremely cold feeling, urge to defecate.
Do you have any suggestions to what this might be? We are trying to get in to the Dr..
Thanks so much!
Skipper54 - Numbness, paralysis, and unconsciousness are not normal states, your husband needed emergency medical attention and still does. Go to an emergency room. Any doctor given those symptom would insist on seeing the patient immediately if not immediate hospitalization. I find it impossible to believe that you cannot get in to see your physician based on those symptoms.
ReplyDeleteI would take your husband to the emergency room NOW.
