I had 2 cavities side by side fixed. Now I cant floss in between them, the floss wont slide down. can I floss from the side some how? Did my dentist mess up or something?
Almost Marathe - You probably had matrix bands placed next to each other to act as a temporary wall during the filling process. This usually prevents the filling material from one tooth attaching to the next tooth.
If you can't get the floss in there anymore, you need to get back to dentist and see if he can open the contact a little. Or perhaps he can show you how to reposition the floss and wiggle it in from a slightly different angle. In any case, you do need to be able to get in there without resorting to floss threaders.
