If You Have A Peanut Allergy Will Going Into A Restaurant That Uses Peanut Oil Make You Have Allergy Symptoms?

396545383 I'm 20 years old and my mother developed a peanut allergy suddenly and severely at about the age of 40, so ever since I reached adulthood I've been pretty cautious about peanuts. Over Thanksgiving break I ate boiled peanuts and Chinese food on multiple occasions with no reaction, but then the next Sunday had a Mr. Goodbar which contains peanuts and a few minutes later my lips were itching and swollen and that didn't go away until I took a Benadryl about an hour later. I've avoided them since then and plan to talk to my physician about it next time I see him, and I haven't had that itchy mouth reaction occur with any other foods since I gave up peanuts.

Because I grew up with my mom having a peanut allergy I know pretty much all the ins and outs of it and what major chains to avoid if you're allergic, including Five Guys Burgers & Fries. The other night I walked into our local Five Guys with some friends and didn't eat anything, but as we were sitting in there my nose started to run a little bit and I did have to clear my throat somewhat frequently, even though we had just come from outside where I was feeling totally fine. It's hard for me to be objective about it because I've been on high alert about allergic symptoms to peanuts for a few years now, but is it possible to experience symptoms just from being in a restaurant that fries everything in peanut oil?
