J - Depends on what they are testing you for. If it's for the amount of iodine your body is producing they will probably injected you over a couple days to determine if your body is accepting the iodine. OR do blood work to determine how much iodine your body is producing. If its thyroid related, then an injection or radioactive pill will be needed to determine if the thyroid will absorb the iodine. Some body (MRI, Pet Scans etc.) scans will be involved. Good luck in your adventure
My doc says I need an iodine study. I want to know how it's done and what will it do to me.
