i have rheumatic heart disease since i was 25 with severe mitral regurgitaion n have treatment with digoxin0.25 mg half tab od n inj penidure12 lakhs for 5 years.now im 26 and i have mild mitral regurgitation .can i have some alcohal ocassionly like in party picnic etc.

ReplyDeleteOne standard drink once in a while will not do you any harm. I do have reservations about the definition of some. To some people some means three or four to others some means one or two bottles. So if you keep to one standard drink not more than once a week I do not see any adverse effect.
