I'm 14 years old and in a pretty healthy state. Yesterday, I noticed a black bruise on my foot, on top of one of my veins. I thought nothing of it, and assumed I'd bumped it. Unusual Bruises In Unusual Places?
I'm 14 years old and in a pretty healthy state. Yesterday, I noticed a black bruise on my foot, on top of one of my veins. I thought nothing of it, and assumed I'd bumped it. Today, however, I found a greenish bruise on the top of my breast. I don't bruise easily, and I'm not sure whether I'm over-reacting. Thanks in advance. :)

Casey - if they're on top of veins, you may have popped them, and thats why they look and feel bruised (because all bruises are is blood underneath the skin)
ReplyDeleteC J - If you've been taking a lot of NSAIDs recently (asprin, ibuprofen etc) that can make you bruise more easily. Also, if you're not getting enough vitamin c, zinc, vitamin e and vitamin k that can make you bruise more easily, e.g. if you've been stressed recently or had the flu or something. But it's highly unlikely that it's something serious if it's only 2 bruises - if it was something really problematic you'd have a lot more bruises.
