High Blood Preasure And Bpm?

396545385 im 16 and it started after i started working out for firefighting (2 hours a day) towards the end of the day my chest hurts and i get a throbing headache with blood shot eyes and it was feeling pretty bad tonight, and i checked my pulse and its 164 what should i do?

  1. ^-^ Bdina ^-^ - If your body is not used to exercising you may be over exhausting it so TAKE IT EASY! You have to start walking before you can run! :) .. Rest for a day or two.. Check whether your bpm or blood pressure is still high or if any of your other symptoms persist. If they do, please go consult your doctor. He may prescribe some antihypertensives to reduce BP, or it may be the cause of something else which you are not aware of. But don't worry, you should be fine. Get your rest! Good luck! :)

  2. Daniel - The pain of working out/lifting weights and exercise can cause your pulse and blood pressure to rise.

    Take it easy for a couple days and check your rates.

Footy Mad - Take it easy for a few days and keep a check on your rates if its still bothering you go to your doctor high blood pressure can cause serious problems if its control ed then it wont affect you i have this and have had it since i was 17 and did not stop me from playing football or excising using weights and now i am on pain killers for my arthritic knee i still do not have problems my son who is 16 has had this for a year and plays sports including football and has no problems
