
the past few weeks i have notice that my blood pressure is reading higher in the 130's/65-75? normally ill check it befor bed and i see it at like 114/60ish ? whats wrong could colder weather have an effect? how long does it usually take to reverse and go back to normal. what could be causing this? im 18 years old, i weigh 130 im 5'9"
Zac - Your diet could be the problem. If you have a history of high blood pressure you should eat lots of radishes, cut back on red meat and try to identify sources of stress and anxiety. You may be worrying yourself about your blood pressure before you take your blood pressure so relax. If you are on bp medication read all the side affects, many of the blood pressure medications cause more harm than good. Do your own research on causes of hbp in teens and young adults. Good luck.
