Why Is Hard Narrowed Arteries Bad For You?

396545385 I read somewhere that nicotine will narrow and harden your arteries. Why is this a bad thing?

  1. Melody - It restricts blood flow through the arteries and could cause plaque and blood clots to build up and cut off blood flow through the arteries (not good). The tissues beyond the site of the blockage are starved of oxygen and die. This is what causes heart attacks and strokes.
