I'm just that girl™ - Not really much you can do. Just take two ibprophens every six hours, and make sure you don't eat a lot of solids foods. Try eating soups, jellos, puddings, etc.
Rachel - First week and a half having braces are hell, sorry it's just the truth. Take a lot of avil (or ibprophin) and eat foods like yogurt, mashed potato, and very very soft foods like that. Trust me it does get better. Also remember to floss with them so you dont end up like me. Good luck
Amused - Hey! I remember the first time I got my braces! Ouch! Keep taking your meds every six hours and if you get hungry eat soft foods! Also try oralgel to numb it. It will get better in about a week. Here is a list of good foods to eat
Mashed potatoes yogurt shakes applesauce (cold it feels good) pudding tomato soup also popsicles.
♥Xenna♥ - Some things you can try: Orajel Advil Soft foods (soup, sandwiches, smoothies, etc) Wax (dry the area before applying) Rest- Watch some TV, read a book, play your DS, something to take your mind away from the pain.
