Serious Chest Pain In Left Side, Heart Feels Weak, What Could This Be?

396545385 For a long time now, off and on I have had this serious pain on the deep inside of my chest on the left side. It feels like someone reaching in with thumb and forefinger and pinching something very deep in there. It does not feel related to muscles, bones or lungs or anything gastrointestinal. It defintely comes back when my diet starts getting bad.
Well the last week or so it's gotten worse, along with other deep pains. Like in the center of my right thigh muscle, so bad I will nearly fall over if standing. It feels like a "sharp ache." Getting similar sharp pains in my feet and neck as well.
These don't feel like normal aches and pains, which I have a lot of, they feel harsh and serious. It has been getting worse since about a week ago, when following some serious chest pains my heart started feeling generally weak and sloppy, and since then I have been getting tired and dizzy easily.
I know I need to go in for tests, but I can't afford to see a doctor, and the ER docs always are rude to me if I go in when I'm not near death.
I'm a 37 year old male, 5'11", 260 pounds, have Crohn's Disease for which I am on Infliximab infusions.

  1. linda m - I know how you feel, and I am experiencing tightness in the chess, shortness of breath and a pain in my left arm. Yet I don't want an EKG because I don't want a heart attack. I am hoping for the best, like maybe it's a muscle ache....well maybe ....both of us will get through this one alive, God knows and my car is inaccessible because my garage door open or broke Sunday, so the only way I can have a test is if I call 911 because my friends are pure selfish. My parents don't know and their was a funeral this weekend, and everyone is so depressed over that.

  2. Sian-Lee - Ι think it is better seeing a doctor in person to answer this kind of questions.
