Question About A Small Burn !!?

396545389 i accidentally burnt myself the other day while cooking. the burn doesn't seem that serious, it just turned into a bubble ... yeah, really gross. i don't know if i should cover it up with a bandaid or would that cause it to pop? would that lead to scarring?

  1. Jenna - If it becomes a bubble-like blister, it is a second degree burn, and therefore somewhat serious. I burned myself on my wrist and it bubbled up and filled with liquid a bit. It ended up scarring pretty badly, but only because it formed a scab and I could not stop picking at it. If you do not pick at it, the scar should be pretty mild. And yes, please do cover it with some sort of bandage to keep it clean. Yes, this may cause the bubble to pop, but the bubble will pop anyway, so it better happen under a bandage. Once it does pop, keep a clean bandage over it, and flush the wound with water regularly.
