One Minute Cure, Does It Really Work?

396545116 Has anyone bought the book The One Minute Cure? My friend is ill with stage 4 breast cancer and it has spread to her lungs. She starts Chemo this week but someone told me about this book and i'm wondering if it REALLY works? Or at least has some positive outcomes. Thanks for reading.

  1. JLI - If it sounds to good to be true, it is. Those scamming and exploiting desperate and vulnerable people in this way are despicable. The "one minute cure" is based on hydrogen peroxide.

Sometimes (and also in the book) it is postulated that it cures diseases like cancer. The idea that hydrogen peroxide is effective as an anticancer drug through its action as an oxygen supplier is a variation of oxygen therapy. This strategy is often promoted by cancer quacks who believe that they have scientific support through a Nobel Prize winner who had done research on respiratory enzymes. He discovered that cancer cells have a lower respiration rate than normal cells. He reasoned that cancer cells thrived in a low-oxygen environment and that increased oxygen levels might therefore harm and even kill them.

Modern science has since offered a great deal more information about how cancer cells really use oxygen. Even if more oxygen is available, it does not cause the cancer cell to switch back to normal oxygen use. And, a higher oxygen level does not hurt cancer cells any more than it hurts healthy cells.

For more details on oxygen therapy (which as explained "the one minute cure" is based on) I recommend this site: http://www.cancer.org/Treatment/TreatmentsandSideEffects/ComplementaryandAlternativeMedicine/PharmacologicalandBiologicalTreatment/oxygen-therapy
