I'm Having A Ct Scan Of My Heart Tommorrow Morning. Would I Be Able To Have A Coffee Before I Have It?

  1. When I had a CT scan for my head they didn't say that I could not eat or drink anything. Nor when I had an MRI scan. So I would assume it would be ok :)

  2. -MJL- - Caffeine could slightly increase your heart rate and blood pressure.
This substance's effect doesn't last long and its is not strong, but as you want to see how your heart does in a NORMAL state, then it is best not to do it.

Nevertheless if your CT scan was being done at 5pm, then it wouldn't be a problem to have coffee in the morning. At least 6 hours free of caffeine.
