Can A Leaky Filling Cause Toothache ?

396545381 I have just come back from the dentist and she said a filling is "leaking" and needs replaced .
I have an appointment for approx 3 weeks time .
Will this tooth cause any problems in that time ? pain etc ?

EDIT Absolute rubbish about Amalgam fillings. people in the Uk have had them for 50 years and we are not dying by the bucket load. this has been disapproved in the UK.

  2. have a nice day - Yes, leaky fillings can cause discomfort. It's mostly sensitivity to cold and sweets. Waiting 3weeks shouldn't be a problem. Likely the leak probably started months if not years ago...
