Breast Cancer Symptoms At 17?

396545116 I'm 17 and for about a year I've had spots of darker, discolored, itchy, flaky skin on & around my breasts. For a while they came in certain places & then left & then showed up somewhere else. Lately the spots have stayed in the same places and recently they have become textured & a little dimple. Also, I have what might be a small lump right beside of one of my nipples. I realize now that these are signs of breast cancer & am rather concerned. I know that I should see a doctor, but I'm scared to mention this to anyone. Is there something other than breast cancer that could cause these symptoms? How often is breast cancer found in teenagers? If you have breast cancer when you are young is it likely to be less serious? Answers would be appreciated! Thanks!

  1. Denisedds - Those are not symptoms of breast cancer.
The odds of breast cancer at your age is 1 in 1 million.
Tell your mother she will know if you need a doctor.

  2. Tarkarri - Sounds more like a skin condition than breast cancer.

As a teenager, you are twice as likely to be struck by lightning as get breast cancer.
