Can You Get In The Military With Seasonal Allergies?

396545383 Am i still eligible to join the U.S military (air force specifically) if i have seasonal allergies? My symptoms are nasal dripping and sometimes chronical cough "attacks" (im assuming the forced coughs are because my body is trying to reject the mucus or its a sign of dehydration). I dont us an inhaler unless my school forces me to take it. (The last time i used it was 3 in a half years ago) I dont have any problem with any physical activities. My alleries act similar to the common cold, but without the contagious germs and an extremely clogged nasal basically.

  1. bill - Most allergies are treatable. Give it try or you’ll never know, and you have nothing to lose.

  2. Joe - maybe, just don't expect to get to use anything dangerous. the whole cough attack thing really punts you back, then again is there any medicine you can get to prevent it?

Austin stfu, your basic remarks are just useless.

  3. nuclear_moon2012 - It shouldn't be a problem. When you go to medical processing for indoctrination to the military, I wouldn't say anything about the inhaler. The military docs are usually pretty anal about asthma, and admitting to using an inhaler can be misconstrued as having asthma.

  4. Chris B - Sure you can...allergies are treatable, after all.

  5. The Source - Yes, I am former Marine and I had troublesome allergies. I worked outside and was in the infantry. They prescribed a good medicine and all was well.
