I Have Been Under High Stress For Over A Year. My Blood Pressure Is Extremely High Now... Averaging 189/ 102?

396545385 for the last three or four days. I have been to the doctor and she put me on more blood pressure meds than I am taking before. How long before these new meds kick in? I have been staying home and not driving as I don't want to have an accident and hurt others if I have a stroke.

Is there anything else I can do the lower it? I eat no salt, no caffeine and no booze. I have never smoked.

Hailey - what always seems to solve "any" health problem is just exercise at least 30min a day, get enough sleep (8 hours?), eat well (eat all your veggies and fruits, etc.), drink plenty of water, try to minimize the amount of stress (try to keep yourself less busy?), lower the amount of junk food you eat or don't eat any.

    has Links on the page as to what you can do to help, while you don't "use" salt you need to seriously LOOK and read how much sodium your Intake in lunch meats and canned soups and veggies , and just about all Food , that You didn't pick off the tree.... 1200 mg a day is the Target 1500 MG to begin.. Oatmeal cleans up cholesterol , cleans up arteries and gives em some flexibility back.... Cayenne pepper Is a Major natural High BP reduction agents, GOOGLE Cayenne Pepper & Hypertension again You say you eat NO salt... BUT I seriously doubt this , More realisticly you Use no salt yourself... You need to LOOK at that google of Cayenne seriously too ......
