I do have some of the symptoms listed below, but me being pregnant some of them would be usual as it it so it's hard to tell. I have noticed weight loss, ha everywhere but my stomach. Legs arms but have been eating like crazy, healthy of course but still getting light headed, don't have energy some morning I can't even get out of bed I feel so drained. Some days are better then others, sometimes throughout the day I do get a burst of energy and will do things around the house since I can but my energy drains very quickly. The doctor also said about my placenta being over the cervix and the risk and things that could possibly happen, what do you think the chances are that things will be okay and if it doesn't move or what not by the time the baby is born will I have to have a cesarean

Tabea - Nobody can diagnose you over the Internet. If you are worried, please get your blood sugar tested.
ReplyDeletewdw - For one, let it breathe, take the bandages off, clean with peroxide, keep clean & let the air do it's thing, after it scabs over, you can try swabbing it a couple times a day with which hazel until it completely heals (I swear by which hazel, the stuff does wonders for anything from scrapes & burns to hemorrhoids....lol)

Brandi C - ...If your blood sugar levels were really high, then you need to take that serious, especially since your showing some signs of having problems healing and since you have a family history of diabetes. Your blood sugar levels will fluctuate quite a bit depending on what you just ate. Once you go to your OB they will order a blood glucose test to check your fasting levels as well. If the doctor is warning you that you might pass out, I'm thinking your blood sugar levels were pretty high. Take this serious. Passing out is not the worst thing that can happen. Your baby needs the healthiest environment available for it.
ReplyDeleteI was diagnosed with gestational diabetes 2 months ago, but it sounds like your numbers are worse than mine...my experiences cannot compare to yours. If your dad has diabetes, you can probably get a lot of information about how to eat right and keep healthy from him.
Regarding your placenta being over the cervix, that's a serious thing too. I wouldn't get too worried about it, depending on how far along you are it could still move away from the cervix. If it doesn't move you'll probably have to have a C-Section.
Start writing down questions for your OB, do some research, and get some nutritional help for the gestational diabetes so that you don't have to take unneeded medication.
Good luck!
