Cancer Survivor Currently Feels Fatigued...?

396545116 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma on 11/22/06. I underwent chemo and radiation therapy in 2007 and was in remission in the late part of the year.

I would say that for awhile, I have noticed that I am having some urinary issues...and I browsed a site and from what I read, I believe I am demonstrating some symtoms of prostate cancer. Being that the lymphoma was near where my prostate is, my wonder is if I could possibly have prostate issues....and/or prostate cancer.

Frequent urination is one of the symptoms...yesterday I would bet that I used the facilities at least 8 times while at work...and always at least once or twice during the night.

I have noticed in the last month that I feel very fatigued. I don't know if it's my stressful job or symptomatic of something 'evil' lurking in my body. I am typically a very energetic person....and typically work out 5 times a week....and currently working out is something that does not appeal to me AT ALL.

I stayed up lastnight and watched the second half of "Gone With The Wind" with my wife...and went to bed at 10:30pm. I woke up at 6:30am....having had to make a trip to the bathroom in the night.

I keep telling myself that I should just talk to my doctor tomorrow....and that it couldn't possibly be cancer...but then the fact that I have already battled cancer....my thought is I could very well have it....

Your thoughts???
Thank you David (my name is David too, actually!) One thing I was thinking of, in the realm of natural remedy...if I have to battle this evil thing again...is alkaline water. I have a friend who is suffering from pancreatic cancer and 4 months ago was given 6 months to 2 years to live. Yesterday she actually decided to tell her oncologist that she is prefering to go with a natural remedy...and I think alkalline water may be one route she may go...i don't know. I'm just praying that I don't have to deal with this cancer monster again....thank you for your input!

  2. Gilda - Check with your doctor, as that frequent of urination is not normal. It doesn't mean it's cancer, as there are lots of other possibilities, but I understand your concern. As a former cancer patient myself I'm always worried it could come back!

Sorry your friend with p.c. wants to go with alkiline water. I don't believe for a second that it will help at all. I know someone who beat it at MD Anderson in Houston with all the conventional treatments.

  3. Clarion - Ι think it is better seeing a doctor in person to answer this kind of questions.
