I went to my doctor back in August about a swollen lymph node I have and it didn't seem to want to budge. He told me not to worry and just come back in 4-6 weeks if it hadn't gone away. I went back today because it's still swollen, and I was told that it's nothing to worry about because it's so small and hard it appears to just have hardened up and become a harmless cyst. So is that pretty much the end of it now, will it go away or just stay that way? It was a relief to know I'm fine but obviously if it's there i still can't help worrying sometimes.
@ Peaches: No I haven't got a cat and although my boyfriend has one I never really go near it or see it.

Peaches - I have a question for you do you have cats or have you been around one that scratched you? The only reason why I ask is because about 6 years ago I had that happen in my armpit and it turned out to be cat scratch fever. I thought my doctor was joking with me. He wasn't and I had to go on antibiotics for a few weeks and it went away. Good luck to you
