  3. Ashley - It's not good to share toothbrushes with anyone even if they don't have a disease.

Sharing a toothbrush, while disgusting to some, will not give you syphilis or diabetes (unless she's cheating on you), then gonorrhea could be transmitted, but through the toothbrush? That would be making history. I hear you can get 2 nice brushes for a dollar at the dollar store.

  7. micksmixxx - You won't get diabetes, my friend, as it's non-transmissible. i.e. it's not something that can be caught.

I'm not sure whether your wife could catch anything that you've got though as you haven't indicated if you have any specific condition.

  8. Murray - The answer is a definite NO. No one should share any personal items, be it toothbrush, hair combs/brushes, shaving razors , towels and face washers. As these items can and do contain certain bacteria which can make a person very ill. Hope this has helped.

  9. Kai - It's not a good idea. She could get some horrible disease from you. Some infection you have might get transferred to her and infect her and become a big issue for her. Better she has her own toothbrush (they aren't that expensive! Put out a little money if you love her). And diabetes isn't contagious--I can't believe someone else enough to be married can be so uninformed. She didn't "catch" diabetes, she is genetically disposed to it--she inherited genes where her pancreas doesn't handle glucose like a non-diabetic person, etc. She didn't do anything wrong, didn't do anything to "get" diabetes. It's just something that happened. Like breast cancer except with diabetes one can often control how much damage will happen with diet, exercise and marrying someone who is smart enough to research what the disease is and how to help manage it. Your support and encouragement, you're participation in keeping your wife healthy will make a HUGE difference. Toothbrushes shouldn't be shared anyway, unless like it's a dire circumstance--really. It's like both of you sharing the same used unwashed streaky pair of underwear.

  10. Andrew - No way in freaking hell you will get diabetes, do you know how much bacteria a tooth brush has it is common sense to not give a toothbrush.
