hygenius - It will take a couple days if you take good care of them. brush & floss GENTLY but thoroughly to help get the infection from your gums. Also, rinse frequently with hot salt water ( 1 tsp salt in 8 oz glass warm/hot water). must be you didn't brush them well when you had your braces. that leads to swollen gums that bleed easily.
I brushed my teeth and I was spitting out blood o.o They hurt so bad.
