  4. Gabsmycat - Your body uses water to remove toxins such as salts and helps digestion. When you are dehydrated, as most of us are, your body's cells hold on to the water, the intestines slow because the body reabsorbs water from the waste, making you constipated. By drinking the recommending amount of water, your body releases the salts, allows the intestines to eliminate the waste and you lose weight as a result.
