Craig - They hurt a little for like 2 days after you get them and after they get adjusted, but it is not real bad (okay, sometimes it is pretty bad, but you will be fine)
Trevor - Right when they put them on, they don't hurt. they just feel like you have grown another set of teeth that is hitting your lips. The most painful part is when the next day when you feel your teeth striaghtening. It sometimes hurts so much you can't eat solid food sometimes because it hurts so much but it goes away in 3-4 days. That is when it mostly hurts. If they brake off at the back or something because sometimes that happens, it gets caught in your cheek and you have to rip it out of your cheek. it does not hurt if done properly but if you just yank it, it will start to hurt because it would bleed.
T - Ok- let me tell you, the first day you're going to HATE them with a burning passion! And it will be difficult to eat solid foods- so for a few days plan on eating smoothies and soup. After that- they are FINE! you don't even think about them and everyone gets used to you having them! It will be a little sore when you go and get them adjusted but it gets better within 24 hours! P.s. Once you get them off, you'll think it's the best think youever did! :)
coalminerswife - Having them put on doesn't hurt at all.. they really only hurt when u have them tightened.. because they're forcing ur teeth to move..and sometimes they can rub blisters on the inside of ur mouth.. but if this happens they sell a wax that u can stick to the braces to keep them from rubbing.. but all in allbraces aren't that bad
Rachel - it depends on how bad your teeth are, i had really bad teeth, my brother didnt have bad teeth, my braces hurt really bad and its hard to eat things for the first couple of days. When my brother got braces he didnt have any pain what so ever, I was really jealous!
I'm getting braces in 2 weeks.. I don't want them at all! I was wondering how bad they hurt, and when do they hurt the most..

ReplyDeleteJames - They kill. I nearly died of starvation as I couldn't eat. O got rushed to hospital bevause I colapsed 4 times in a day.
