  3. Nathan - Studies show that regular drinkers gain more weight over a year from drinking diet soda rather than regular soda. Also, the sweetener in diet soda is aspartame. Aspartame has been very strongly linked to many different cancers, as well as Alzheimer's and Type II Diabetes. I would stay away from it :P
