Does Protonix 40mg And Coumadin 5mg Taken Together Make You Tired?

396545385 I was on Plavix and Protonix for over a year NO PROBLEMS. Ever since the doctor changed me to Coumadin taken with my Protonix I'm super tired ALL THE TIME. This was after having a Pacemaker implanted,,5 mons. ago. My wife thinks I'm still "catching" up from the Pacemaker operation. HELP

    Mike A - Yes, you can be weak and tired with protonix and coumadin. Definitely follow up with your doctor. Protonix is a great medication, but obviously not free from side effects.... as is the case with any medication. I'd recommend you read the documentation associated with all your medications. It's important to know all the possible side effects. You should take some time to figure out which side effects are tolerable and acceptable.... and if this is not acceptable to you, discuss with your physician if the treatment is worth the trouble, and if there are alternatives. GERD can be very serious and should be controlled. And obviously coumadin after a pacemaker implant is absolutely necessary, there's no way out of that one. I hate to hear that you are feeling miserable. Talk to your doctor... see what he/she has to recommend.

    tod m - fatigue problems from diabetes. Avoid sugar. Get tested.
