I have three slightly enlarged lymph nodes that appeared during a cold a month ago, and itching in different places all over my body. I'm really, really scared. Do I have lymphoma? I'm 15.
AvoidProlongedExposure - Colds cause swollen lymph nodes. Are they still as swollen as they were a month ago when they appeared? If so, see a Dr. But it's totally normal for that to happen during an illness. The itching could be due to anything. You're paranoid about the lymph nodes and the itching might be due to virtually anything! Dry skin, changing weather, allergies to soaps.....
I wouldn't jump to thoughts of lymphoma over those 2 symptoms. Lymphoma also causes night sweats and makes your lymph nodes feel firm and rubbery like an eraser. But if they are still swollen and you're over your cold, see your Dr. Don't play with them and touch them a lot either. That can cause them to stay swollen indefinitely. You don't want that!

Lymph nodes swell when you are sick. While itching is a symptom of Hodgkin's, occurring in about 15% of cases, it is doubtful you have it unless you are experiencing other symptoms. Perhaps an allergy? I digress. If symptoms persist for a few weeks, or is accompanied by another symptom, then see a doctor. I really think you are psyching yourself out though.
Moderate Somber - Enlarged lymphnodes are a normal reaction to cold and other illnesses. Sometimes, they do not return to their normal size. This is nothing to worry about. Use cortisone for itching.
Tiny - If the lymph nodes are rock hard, not movable at all(fixed), and painless AND you have the constant all over itching then yes, see the doctor. Otherwise the itching and nodes could just as well be due to an allergy or other cause aside from Hodgkin Lymphoma. Best wishes
