Am I Allergic To My Bracelet?

396545383 I recently bought a bracelet that has black beads and metal squares on it.
I wore it the whole day and forgot to take it off at night and when I woke up, my arm was green where the metal was and my wrist was itchy and bumpy for a day or two. The bumps resmbled little bug bites, but I know it was from the bracelet.

Does anyone know what is up with my reaction to the bracelet and what I can do?

  1. Kayla Dealba - Either you are allergic or it is really crappy quality.

  3. Joe S - Probably a nickel allergy. Don't wear it. Maybe you could give it to a friend as a gift?

  4. Chris - This sounds like a nickel allergy, and the green may be caused by the copper content of the metal. The bumps will go away if you stop wearing the bracelet for a while. In the future, look for jewelry that's labeled "nickel free," and avoid wearing metal jewelry overnight, just in case.
