I recently started working at a hospital and was told that I cannot take blood pressure or draw blood from the arm that is located at the same side as the pacemaker. What is the reason for this?

ReplyDeleteJohn W - The pacemaker was just installed and taking pressure on that arm would place pressure unnecessarily on the sutures.
