Doesn't the body really need good cholesterol ?

  1. Damocles - Since the cholesterol in your blood is made in your own liver, changing your diet to reduce or moderate the cholesterol in your intestines is unnecessary and foolish without the advice of your doctor.

  2. McGee - Don't believe the "good" cholesterol, "bad" cholesterol garbage.

What people call "bad" cholesterol is produced to save your life.

The formation of cholesterol in the arteries is the result of chronic dehydration. Dehydration turns the blood acidic, and as this acidic blood is pumped through the arteries at a high pressure, it produces tiny cuts and abrasions to the lining of the artery walls.

The so-called "bad" cholesterol is produced to cover and protect this damage like a waterproof bandage to keep it from peeling away and causing an embolism in the brain or other organ.

It should be noted that cholesterol is tested for by taking a blood sample from a vein in the arm. Yet, there has never been a case where cholesterol has ever blocked the veins. Venous blood flows much slower than arterial blood. If the assumption of "bad" cholesterol were true, the veins would become blocked before the larger arteries.

The reason the arteries ate targeted is because the body knows how to protect itself, and it's the arteries that are receiving the damage from acidic blood. Thus, the arteries are the ones that have to be protected.

Unfortunately, the medical profession doesn't recognize dehydration as the cause of health problems and so the dehydration goes undetected and untreated, allowing for the acidic blood to further damage the arteries.

What you eat has little or nothing to do with it. We may get 25% of our cholesterol from outside sources, but it doesn't build up in the arteries unless it's needed. Usually, it's just eliminated from the body.
