About a week and a half ago I had a gum graft procedure on the top left side of my mouth about two teeth over from the middle because of a receding gum line from when my dentist cut my gum, when I was 8, to make room for my tooth that was coming in crooked. They took the skin from the roof of my mouth and all of the those stitches have fallen out and the skin feels very smooth so I believe it has healed. My actual graft dressing and stitches have been taken off/out two days ago and there is a little swelling still. The dental care said not to smoke for three weeks but I believe they just mean smoking tobacco. It's not a huge deal if I can't smoke but making brownies is a hassle and costs more to do. So does anyone know how early I can smoke weed or if it is the same as the tobacco smoking guidelines the dentist gave me? Any
help is appreciated, thanks!
Robert - The prohibition on smoking is probably about sucking more than what you're sucking. He probably doesn't want you to smoke anything. If in doubt just call and ask if the smoking restrictions apply to all substances or just tobacco. You might also want to ask about unfiltered cigarettes and pipes. You have to draw a lot harder on one of those nasty ultralight cigarettes than on a hand-rolled joint.
ReplyDeleteI once went through something similar and when my dentist told me I couldn't smoke for a week I told him that probably wasn't going to happen. He told me if I absolutely had to smoke I should smoke unfiltered cigarettes or a pipe. I healed up fine.
