When was your last doctor's visit, perhaps your numbers need reviewed by the doc for an insulin adjustment.

  2. Danielle - First off, please see your doctor....

But, have you started any medications recently? Because, certain meds can cause 'crazy high' glucose readings.

Also, records what you are eating. Please. Maybe you are missing something that is right in front of your face.

  4. Al - Hi,

Before I can try to help you what meds are you on for your sugar? Metormin? Insulin - if so what type?

Do you keep a log of what you eat, drink and the time? The times when you check your sugar?

    ***Added........
Metformin has been good to me but ensure you take it with food but not with the foods you shouldn't be eating anyway......it will get you if you take metformin with fatty, fried foods and if you have GERD be ready.

Anhow, you should be keeping that food log and you can see how your numbers react to the type of food and portion of foods you eat.

  5. Nana Lamb - some things that cause loss of control:
    infection just starting
type 2 does as it pleases no matter what we do
    stress or worry about anything

to deal with it make an appointment with your doctor(s) and discuss it. You may need to change meds, dosages, add some, deal with a possible infection, etc.

  6. Mack T - Seeing your doctor would be the first step. I would let him know this combination of drugs is not working for you. Every diabetic is different and what works well for one doesn't work well for another. There are also certain over the counter medications that will also make your blood sugar rise.

  7. carey_ball - Maybe your diabetes is just getting worse and you need to start taking insulin?

    But see your doctor.
