  1. Mikayla - It depends what your body fat percentage is because muscle weighs more than fat. You could get fit by eating six small meals throughout the day. Run or do another cardio exercise to burn off extra fat. Also lift weights and do crunches to get muscle tone throughout your body. Hope this helps and goodluck!

  2. Katherine - I am 13, 5'7" and 135 pounds and I cud lose some weight. The bottom line is, no dieting or eating disorders. That will not help. If you are bulimic or anorexic u cud gain 7 pounds from just eating a single piece of cake and a glass of water. Your body will not be used to eating so you will gain a bunch of weight. Dont do that. Here is my advice, cut back on what you eat, and try to increase your excersise levEl.

  3. J.J. Dicky - Yes you are overweight. You aren't obese yet. You need to make an effort to lose weight. Not like a little effort but a big effort whenever you get the chance. You should join a sport, even if your not good at one. Even if it's just tennis or cross country/track. Running will help you but it's not always enjoyable for everyone and can be hard on your joints. The best way you could really lose weight is to eat correctly. Your metabolism can't keep up with your intake, so either do something about the intake or do something about your metabolism (working out.) I would stick to probably both paths but mainly eating correctly. Eating correctly is a habit that you can gain for life and it is a great one. What you should do is look to see if what your eating is all natural more often. Make sure your eating plenty of grapes and vegetables. There are ways to make vegetables better tasting. Like putting peanut butter on them or even sometimes mayonnaise (I do this with my broccoli, it's really good.) The big deal is eating correctly. Don't eat french fries and fast food ever. It's absolutely horrible for you. Eating at restraunts is also horrible for you. Make stuff yourself and work out a little. Good luck!

  4. Ratto - Let's start over:

    READ LABELS.

To attain a healthy lifestyle, ( NOT A DIET!!), you need to change your eating habits.
You follow this safe plan and I PROMISE IN WRITING you will lose weight and keep it off!

Remember when I said to read labels?

You have to keep ALL DAILY carbohydrates and sugars to 100- 120 grams a day.

    That's a combined number.
    For instance:

30 grams of sugars PER DAY, and 70 grams of carbohydrates PER DAY equals 100 grams TOTAL PER DAY.

Eat smaller meals, 4-5 a day to remain full.

    Drink plenty of water.

WATER, not some damned sugary crap, WATER.
    EXERCISE:
walk a mile a day, and be sure it is a full mile...for 5 days, then on the 6th day increase it to 2 miles,
After a month you should be able to walk 2 miles briskly and be back home within 30 minutes.
S-P-R-E-A-D O-U-T those carbs so you don't feel hungry and count count count those sugar and carbohydrate grams.

Sounds a bit harsh, but I assure you it works.
I am a diabetic and in 2003 I started this regime and lost 130 pounds in 8 months.
And if I can do it, anybody can. Now get out there and get a new you going!

    Get Crackin'
