Kate - There is no set time. It can happen differently for every person suffering a heart attack. The symptoms for males and females are different too. What you have may not be a heart Attack at your age but please see the doctor and tell him your symptoms.
Terrel - About 24 hours for both my heart attacks. Even though you are only 13 your symptoms sound very much like a heart attack. You need to tell your folks immediately.
The Original Mr. Cool - Unless you have a rare heart condition, which would likely be diagnosed by age 13, you won't have a heart attack. It is important to distinguish two different types of symptoms. There are those of a real heart attack. They would be unlike anything you have ever experienced. There are then those of a common misconception of a heart attack. These are very common and happen very frequently. They are mainly aches and pains in localized regions of your body. What you seem to be feeling seems a lot like an anxiety attack. If they happen commonly, I would see a doctor. To help get your mind off of it, try to take a couple deep breaths and maybe watch a comedy movie. Listening to music or watching an action movie could make it worse since your hate is likely "racing" already. You have nothing to worry about, just calm yourself.
John W - Heart attack symptoms occur after the heart attack, but there are many conditions with the same symptoms. It's very unlikely for someone your age to have actual heart attack symptoms.
Donna B. - Robert 13 year old boys do not have heart attacks. You have been asking the same question for weeks. I read your questions. It sounds like you are having anxiety attacks but believe me you are not having a heart attack. If you are worried about it in the future read about it and identify your risk factors for having one. You cannot change the past but you an alter your future. No smoking, no illegal drugs, eat a balanced diet as much as you can and excercise. Tell your family Dr. about your pains and he will tell you that they are probably growing pains. Anxiety is not healthy so speak to your parents about your concerns.
