  1. Kristen - As a natural remedy, you could put toothpaste on it and let the toothpaste drain the pimple.

  2. Ruthy Stiles - Step 1: Cleanse. Wash your whole face with warm water and mild soap, or if you have a special acne-cleansing solution, that would work best.
Step 2: Exfoliate. This can be done with plain baking soda. Simply take a few tablespoons (you really don't need much) and add in a few drops of water until you reach a paste-y consistency. Rub this over the affected area or your entire face, leave on for 10-20 minutes, then rinse off cleanly.
Step 3: Pat dry. NEVER RUB. This spreads the bacteria around and can lead to more acne in the future.
Step 4 (optional but good): Mosturize. A good mosturizer stops skin from drying out and prevents future pimples.
Step 5: Let's get to the real point: getting rid of that zit!

Option #1 One of the best ways at home is, yes, believe it or not, toothpaste!! Toothpaste has a drying-out agent that helps dry out a pimple like the leading brand's spot solutions. The best way to apply it is to get a Q-tip (fingers work too!) and dab on a big glob right on the pimple. You want a lot, but ONLY ON THE PIMPLE. Apply before going to bed. To stop from spreading around, put a band-aid on top of it.

Option #2 An egg mask is also a very effect way of drying skin naturally to get rid of acne. This method works best with more than one zit. Simply crack and egg, remove the yolk, and beat the whites till stiff and paste-y. Apply to affected area or whole face (only a good idea if you have a mosturizer for afterwards). Wash off after 10-20 minutes.

Option #3 Salt. Sea salt is actually the best for your skin, because of its natural minerals. Dissolve one or two teaspoons of salt into water, then saturate a cotton ball in it. Apply it to the pimple for 5 minutes, remove, then apply again.

Option #4 Ice. Ice helps reduce swelling and redness. Wrap an ice cube in tin foil (this perserves its coldness) and place it on the pimple. Leave it on for 5 minutes, remove, then reapply. Do this for about 20 minutes or as long as you feel needed. The whole area might turn red, but don't worry, this is because of the cold, and will fade fairly soon.

Option #5 There are also always acne medicines out there. Walk into your local drugstore and find walls full of acne-fighting products! A good wash (I recommend Neutrogena's Grapefruit Facial Wash...it's AMAZING! It can be a bit drying though, so use the next step), a good mosturizer (Clean and Clear's Dual Action Mosturizer mosturizes dry skin AND helps prevent pimples), exfoliating once a week (St. Ive's has some awesome exfoliation products) and using a mask once a week or every two weeks (there are many various masks for all skin types) will all help to prevent you from ever having to deal with another pimple again! However, should one arise, there are spot treatments in your local drugstore as well for putting directly on a pimple to help dry it out and heal it faster. Some can be pricey, but are oftentimes definetly worth it! Just try to determine your skin type, and base your products after that.

Good luck and hope I helped!:D
